• Happy Birthday, SAGA! •

4 March 2009

March 4th marks the one year anniversary of SAGA's release! Here at the office, gratuitous amounts of chocolate cake have been consumed in celebration of the event. We're very excited that we've reached the one year mark, and we couldn't have done it without the support of you, the players. With your help, SAGA has grown and improved greatly over the past several months.

We've been able to release the game's first expansion, thereby unleashing the Undead upon the world (our sincere apologies to any helpless peasants that have been devoured by shadow dragons since then), as well as making numerous other additions to the game. The creation of a new quest scripting system has made victory (and defeat) more complicated and engaging, while new spell and troops mechanics have made the battlefield an interesting place, indeed. The first ultra-rare card, the terrifying great dragon, has been added to the game. Players can raid territories, garrison troops, and will soon be able to play Dragon Pong and other PvP scenarios with their friends. Thank you for making it all possible!

To show our appreciation of our players, SAGA will be giving an exclusive summon spell to everyone that has made an account this year (Card to be added next patch). Meet Swifty McLoot, the lightning fast little human with a penchant for all things shiny. How he got to be so quick is something of a mystery. Was it intense training? A genetic mutation? Steroids peddled by a shady ogre in a dark ally? Whatever the answer, he'll give your battle-weary troops a break from all that end-of-quest loot-collecting. Summon Swifty, and he'll gather all your shinies as quickly as a highly caffeinated magpie.

Happy first anniversary, players! We look forward to all of the exciting possibilities that this year presents.
