• BUILD 1.42.1 CHANGES •

Welcome to the latest build of SAGA. We're spending nearly all our time getting tournaments and the Undead ready for release. We're really close on both so don't expect to have to wait too much longer. Additionally we're spending a fair bit of remaining time fixing some of those more frustrating bugs that have been affecting a few of you. We've added a bunch of new logging to help track those sorts of things down and hopefully we'll be able to resolve them for next patch. We're pretty excited about what is coming out in the next few weeks and we hope you are too!

IMPORTANT CHANGES

We've added the free build system to SAGA. This means you can now choose where you build your buildings and walls. We've also temporarily added the ability to clear your buildings and replace them. To do this click the CLEAR button on the build menu. For more info on the freebuild system please visit www.playsaga.com/freebuild.

FEATURE CHANGES AND FIXES

Here's a listing of some of the more major adjustments and fixes in this build:

• Enchanted items will now display as enchanted in battle tooltips.

• Enemy units will now attack and capture buildings when they feel like it.

• Added free build to the game. No longer are you restricted to follow the city design... To activate free build on an existing account visit the build menu and select the "clear" button.

• Multiplayer quest tiers should work properly.

• Summon cooldown fix for ranks higher than 1.

• Increased the GF cost for raiding.

• Slightly reduced the plunder gained from raiding.

• Adjusted the failure rates for espionage to eventually make it impossible to get hit again after being brutalized for a period.

• When your friend surrenders in multiplayer PvE you should no longer have to roll on items.

• Clicking help in Create Nation screen now opens the game manual.

• Fixed a bug that made help chat's background appear when not supposed to under certain circumstances.

• Filtering gold quests in the Quest Map should now filter completed gold quests.

• Fixed wording on the officer promote/demote dialog.

• Minor fix for building capture events in quests.

• Fixed a crash when pressing 'Q' to access the Quest Map from the War screen.

• Selling buildings will now take damage into account. So a half destroyed building will now yield half the resources as before.

• Fixed a crash that would happen sometimes when loading Card Management from the front end.

• Added additional logging to help track down the garrison/gatehouse/deployment bug still affecting some players.

• Fix for spells ranking up to max rank not working in some cases.

• Spell ranks can no longer be used to exceed the standing army CP's.

• Building selection square now displays which side is the 'front'.

• Grass will no longer be placed where there is a building.

• Troops collide with larger troops more properly.

• Buildings now show attack range in Domain Mode.

• Wall towers now show how many on that territory and the limit.

• Fixed a bug which would allow Undead faction boosters to be traded on the market.

BALANCE ADJUSTMENTS

We're still waiting on the Undead to cause all sorts of havoc so until then we've tried to keep the change list reasonably small. The following are some of the more key adjustments we've made for this patch:

• "HUMAN LIGHT INFANTRY" - "HOLD THE LINE - UNIT GAINS +30% DR FOR 30 SECONDS. COOLDOWN: 90 SECONDS." > "HOLD THE LINE - FRIENDLY UNITS IN TARGET RADIUS (20M) GAIN +2% DR PER LIGHT INFANTRY FOR 30 SECONDS. COOLDOWN: 90 SECONDS."

• "HUMAN HEAVY CAVALRY" - DEFRATING 29 > 28, MAXDAMAGE 23 > 21

• "HUMAN LIGHT CAVALRY" - DEFRATING 20 > 22, "DETERMINATION - UNIT GAINS +50% AR, +100% DAMAGE, AND -20% DR FOR 20 SECONDS. COOLDOWN: 90 SECONDS." "DETERMINATION - UNIT GAINS +50% AR, +100% DAMAGE VS. RANGED UNITS FOR 30 SECONDS. COOLDOWN: 90 SECONDS."

• "HUMAN MERCENARIES" - ATTACKRATING 17 > 22, DEFRATING 19 > 22, HITPOINTS 300 > 280

• "GIANT SPEARMEN" - ATTACKRATING 18 > 20, "RAIN OF SPEARS - UNIT ATTACKS 50% FASTER AT THE COST OF -15% DR FOR 30 SECONDS. COOLDOWN: 90 SECONDS." > "RAIN OF SPEARS - UNIT ATTACKS 50% FASTER FOR 30 SECONDS. COOLDOWN: 90 SECONDS."

• "HUMAN KNIGHTS" - ATTACKRATING 18 > 22, "CHARGE - UNIT GAINS +25% AR AND DOES +200% DAMAGE FOR 30 SECONDS. COOLDOWN: 60 SECONDS." > "FOR GLORY - UNIT GAINS +500% DR FOR 20 SECONDS. COOLDOWN: 60 SECONDS."

• "ORC DOG SOLDIERS" - "HEALING SALVE - FRIENDLY TROOPS IN TARGET RADIUS (20M) HEAL 17-23 HIT POINTS PER DOG SOLDIER. COOLDOWN: 120 SECONDS." > "HEALING CHANT - FRIENDLY TROOPS IN TARGET RADIUS (20M) HEAL 20-25 HIT POINTS AND GAIN +2% DR PER DOG SOLDIER FOR 30 SECONDS. COOLDOWN: 120 SECONDS."

• "DWARVEN FLAMETHROWERS" - "INFERNO BURST - +20% DAMAGE PER FLAMETHROWER FOR 30 SECONDS. COOLDOWN: 90 SECONDS." > "INFERNO BURST - +400% DAMAGE FOR 5 SECONDS. COOLDOWN: 45 SECONDS."

• "DWARVEN BALLOONISTS" - HITPOINTS 850 > 900, "GAS BOMB - NEARBY UNITS (25M) SUFFER -50% ATTACK SPEED FOR 30 SECONDS. COOLDOWN: 90 SECONDS." "GAS BOMB - NEARBY UNITS (25M) SUFFER -25% MOVEMENT SPEED AND -50% ATTACK SPEED FOR 30 SECONDS. COOLDOWN: 60 SECONDS."

• "DRAGON SLAYERS" - ATTACKRATING 13 > 19, HITPOINTS 2200 > 2500

• "MECH GIANT" - "HEAT EXPULSION - NEARBY UNITS (15M) TAKE 125-250 DAMAGE. COOLDOWN: 90 SECONDS." > "HEAT EXPULSION - NEARBY UNITS (15M) TAKE 125-250 DAMAGE. MECH GIANT GAINS +50% MOVEMENT SPEED FOR 15 SECONDS. COOLDOWN: 90 SECONDS."

• All summon spells - warmup and cooldown timers reduced.

• "VICTORY OR DEATH", "TAKE NO PRISONERS", "STAND YOUR GROUND" warmups removed.

QUEST CHANGES AND UPDATES

This update has a small number of quest fixes and updates. We're prepping for some really big changes to the quest system which should start showing up in the upcoming weeks, however, this build has a few new quests...they might just have something new to check out!
